Tracy's back!
From: Colin H
Hi both (or generic 3rd party if applicable). Wow Vaughn had a suspected heart attack, was this triggered by the reality that he'd have to open his wallet?, did Canada run out of maple syrup?, is it because your now old man droopy balls?. I'm glad it was not as bad as you first feared, I can imagine the blind panic Tracy would have been in. "Shit I'm going to need a new co-host!, whose going to warm the bed!". Seriously I'm glad your ok, my dad has heart problems so I know it can be a scary time. But just out of coincidence does the co-host position come with the beer making equipment?, because if so sign me up!. But now we know old man cholesterol is ok, let's look at what happens when you get to carried away with Oil of Olay. The premise of this story is great, if you get the chance to be young again would you & what's the cost?. Admittedly they never had to trek into Tibet, dodge yetis & bath in the fountain of eternal youth. Oh no in this century you just take your medicine. While this plays well it raises a few questions. When the Admiral, in typical dickhead mode takes the two doses, he effectively rules his wife out of the equation. So after the mission if he hadn't died would the young version of him really spend the rest of his life humping grandma?. Also if this cure exists & is now known to the Federation why didn't they tell the Son'a? This would have saved the Ba'ku a load of grief & prevented "Generations" being made. There is also the revenge factor of course & after going to all the trouble of getting the Admiral there he just decides to let him die. Er hello even if he hadn't taken the drugs he was shit old anyway & impaired by an affliction, so probably would have died soon anyway!. Honestly megalomaniacs just don't think long term do they. That said I do like this episode a guest aboard the Enterprise visits sickbay & didn't get euthanised by Beverly(always a good thing albeit rare). Plus some good acting from the fledging cast. Overall I'd give it a 3,5 out of 5. Keep taking the meds Vaughn & avoid bacon. Live long & podcast
