IV and V
From: George
Hi TrekTV, I was going to email last week but was pretty unwell. Once you hit your 40's everything starts to breakdown, even your old man balls. Anyway I have caught up with all the available podcasts now. It sounds like Tracy's accent has changed a bit over the years you have been in Oz, she hsa dropped a few Canadianisms that were noticeable in the early shows and picked up the weird rising inflection that makes everything Australians say sound like a question. Vaughn (spelling?) your accent sounds the same. Anyway Star Trek IV the comedy, it's enjoyable enough with some nice moments but it's not my favourite. The music I really can't be doing with, it sounds like the score to the Ralph Bakshi animated Lord of the Rings folm from the 70's. The motorcycle cop was a real cop, I think that whole scene with the nuclear wessels was filmed with random passers by on the street not actors. I went to San Francisco on holiday a few years ago and got to go to a few of the places where they filmed, I had a little geek out while my wife looked on unimpressed. Star Trek V gets a panning but I like it. Shatner wrote a book about his experiece of making the film and he makes it sounds like constant studio interference gimped his original vision. LLAP
