Hi, Soo happy the podcasts are back regularly and I can now get the old ones I missed out on. Just a quick note about James Doohan and the burning engineer. By the time they made TWOK Jimmy Doohan was 62 he and DeForest Kelly were a fair bit older than the rest of the cast. I recon he was entitled by that age to let himself go. Did you ever mention in the podcast he was missing a finger that got shot off during WW2? All his shots were carefully positioned to hide his injured hand. The oddest thing in that film is Scotty bringing Midshipman Peter Preston to the bridge. In the extended edition the deleted scenes are edited back in and you learn that the dying engineer is actually Scotty's nephew, McCoy's doctorin' must be really bad if he reckoned his nephews best chance was to go straight to the bridge.
