Christmas, and everything else
From: George
Seasonal Greetings to the Antipodes. With Christmas close upon us my first year with Trek TV is coming to a close. I have enjoyed listening immensly and am looking forward to the TNG podcasts now the blu rays are out. It's pretty cold in Scotland just now, we have already had one cold spell, we got down -19 I think about a week ago. I coudn't bear a Christmas in the 40's. Back in summer when it was warmer I spent a lot of time blitzing through the podcasts catching up, I was listening to one whilst walking through the Fringe Festival (Edinburgh is the best city in the world - at least in August anyway) and as one of Marc Thomas's excellent audio emails came on I found myself surounded by transexual japanese clowns, somehow it felt right. I was on my 5th or 6th podcast that week and when I sat down to lunch that day I could hear two people talking behind me, I was convinced it was Tracy's voice until she laughed and then I realised it wan't her, no-one else has that laugh. Have you ever heard of this band: http://www.warp11.com/ All there songs are Trek based and are well worth a listen, their first album is a bit rough but the rest are pretty good, the latest album "Borgasm" is a full rock opera based on ships encounter with the Borg. I thought I would have heard them mentioned on the podcast by now. I have discovered that episode 61 is also is not available on iTunes, anyway enough rambling. I would like to thank you and the other contributors for giving me so many amusing commutes this year and hope for many more next year. Happy Christmas, George
