Nine 2 Twelve TAS
From: Marc Thomas
Hi Trek TV Friends Oh good gravy I forgot about all that olden daze art I'd sent your way. The Space:1999 crossover pic and Starfleet phasing the begeezous outa what the heck ever pissed my prepubescent self off exemplifies the need of the primordial trekkie for new content after TAS was canceled and nothing new confirmed. The scribble of Mr Spock with an anthropomorphic Vulcan rat on his shoulder was drawn by my Dad, Daniel Thomas, back then a school teacher. presently a writer and gentleman farmer. But the anthropomorphic Vulcan rat was mine by golly. Well pre-TAS I doodled up a whole series of comic books which amounted to a youthful plagiariziation of Star Trek but with…RATS! Got one of them autographed by Charles Shultz but was never able to interest Roddenbury in my concept. But more importantly….. That's a lovely photo of Collette sent by Brycecakes. My, but she does look surprised! I wonder what so startled the poor dear. I'm always glad to see new fan art thats not from me. I might have done my own take on the Sahlot, as I was kindly invited to on the recent podcast number 80 but the 2010 fanart titled Vulcan Kitty introduced via email as a Vulcan Teddy Bear, ( alluding to Mandy Mrs Spock's describtion of the first officers late childhhod pet in Journey To Babel) occupies this niche already and is a fanpage fave. Kaelins contribution of the elfin eared feline is the official, now longstanding and adorable Trek TV Sahlot. Appropo of something, I had a viewmaster reel of Yesteryear. It's so sad. .Trying having pet rats, talk about sad, they die every three years. I hope Vaughn's recovering from his squash injury, I guess he too, like Achilles was held by the heals as Thetis dipped him so long ago and legendarily into the river Styx, leaving that notoriously vulnarable tendon just so. Personally I must have been held by the old balls, this deduced by the nature and position of my last handball related catastrophe which was of course decades ago so its all good now. That anec-joke based on the myth of Achillies as seen in ancient Greek theology and drama I did by the way consume TAS in production order and theres nothing to be gained by doing so. I too, think air date by series makes sense from here on out. I guess your going to cover Trek movie number five right after four and not between seasons 2 and 3 of TNG? Then The Final Fronteir not to wait unitl the end of TNG 5 ? and Generations….. should it be counted as the first TNG flick or the last TOS? Once we have contiguous titles running, wow! Yeah, production order gets perty complicated later. I was a fun way to do TOS though. This is my first letter after the hiatus so welcome back, I used my own holiday from Trek TV email production to make an illustrated sci fi audio short for sale, I need the money to buy swag from the Trek TV store.
