Goodbye, TOS
From: Kaelin
(make sure Tracy reads this, not Vaughn) I can't believe it! You've completed the long journey of TOS and will soon begin the even longer journey of TNG! I have to confess that I'm even a little excited to hear about the animated series. But don't tell anyone. Now onto the episode. I don't think I have to go into the offensiveness of The Turnabout Intruder, as I'm sure you all did this for me. But I am surprised that this episode even exists. They brought up so many important ideas on racism, sexism, and probably many other 'isms", giving the impression that Star Trek is a progressive show. Then they made "The Turnabout Intruder", which was basically a slap in the face to the feminist movement. You could say "ain't no thang...it was the 60s". But in context of most other episodes, this episode doesn't make sense. Congrats again on completing one entire series, guys! We've got a lot to look forward to. For example, Michael Dorn! There's also more modern forms of nipple geometry, fewer cave planets, fewer hypos, and more Picard! But could you do me a favour, and try to skip episodes involving Counselor Troy and romance? Those give me nightmares. Your friend, Kaelin PS - I made Tracy say "ain't no thang!" Now she's said it twice!
