Mr and Mrs Spock Flintstone
From: Marc Thomas
Hi Trek TV Friends What? Another new Julep already? Julian had a busy week getting that to us aswell as more Duality. This star ship has such a broadly multi-speciis crew. Can levitating robots be considered a specis? I believe so. If not make it so. See I know TNG! In many ways, Mr Thomas' comic uitilizes the potential of the Star Trek Universe to be fascinating more successfully than any canon series. When I harkened back to the dungeons and damsils email topic in my more recent contribution I was consened that the whole meam might have disapated by the time it was podcast. Not to worry, Brycecakes and Collette were fuck-dungeoning till doomsday or bust. It was fantastic. Colin was busy too. Three letters for this podcast and a new Trek News and Views Too. And well done indeed Vaughn for keeping Trek TV chugging along inspite of the all the Mevio fuckicity. You convinced me, I won't be using them in the future. Oh I'll be using someone, but not them. Did we learn last week that Tracy has professionally thrown a spear? Having an archiologist do your Trek Podcast is so damn cool. I'm so glad to hear that you two have enjoyed TOS, I look foreward to your commentary on number 78, and while we're on the subject, here are mine. It snows al lthe time and she gets to live alone…IN A CAVE?. Score! I know the ending is supposed to be sad, but I just don't feel it. Wassername, then goes on to be a big TV star for a decade, so double lucky on her, right? Here we go to the Hodgekins well of implausibility one last time. The Planet of the Three Musketeers? Did someone drop a Dumas novel on this planet? Oh well, I like the idea of escaping armeggedon via time travel, It's just the whole parallel Earth thing has never appealed to me. Except when it's awesome like in Bread and Circus or funny like A Piece of The Action. Why is Kirk so profficient with a foil, he's no Sulu. Who is? Sulu that's who. We cetainly have an A and B plot here and I'd call Spock's A 'cause I like it much more. I would have really dug some sort of whooly gargantuan animal action here. Two dudes in a mastadon costume, oh man, that's a trick missed! A controversial aspect of ATY is the nature of Spocks emotional awakening. I accept that it makes sense because his specis' mentality is somehow linked regardless of proximity, as evidenced by the death throws suffered by ol' scratch when his co-Vulcanians are nixed by The Doomsday Machine. ESP! It's not just bullshit, it's the spackling paste that holds much of trek together. There is a better than average franchise novel called Yesterdays Son which introduces us to the child spawned by this hook up. Whats wrong with me? I almost forgot to mention that guest starlet Mariette Hartley is absurdly hot in this episode. Cave-ladies? Yaba-daba-doo!
