Damn Dirty Space Hippies
From: Alan
Hey guys Alan again. Sorry I missed writing in to you for a couple of weeks now, not that I haven't been keeping up with the podcast. I just can get busy. Seem's that I fucked up a few weeks back and predicted the wrong show that you would be reviewing. And if that wasn't bad enough I just missed getting this email into this weeks show, (cause I checked twitter and I missed your recording by a couple of hours) or by the time you read this, last weeks. Anyway so now I have to comment on the two past episodes that I missed. Sooooooooo....I'll start with 'The Cloud Minders', and say that I was agree with Marc Thomas. I always thought it was 'The Cloud Miners' too. I guess I just never bothered to read the title correctly. All I knew is it was the one with the ever sexy Droxine. "My god what a body she had, with abs that would make Uhura jealous. I mean "Jesus", you could grate cheese on those! I always did wonder though about the City in the Clouds? Do you think that George Lucas ever watched Star Trek? Every time I watch this episode I almost think that Lando Calrissian would walk around the corner. Maybe he was just down on the surface supervising the Troglyte's. I just think that Gene Roddenberry would have a good law suite on his hands. This week or should I say last week you did 'The Way to Eden' did you know that the head Hippie was also in another earlier episode of TOS? If you take away the fucked up ears he had on you may recognise him, ( Skip Homeier) as the head bad Nazi from 'Patterns of Force' he got mowed down by a machine gun at the end of that one, but heeeeeeeeeeee's back! Not Kirks old teacher. The other one. Where was I? Oh it doesn't matter. "That's Real Now." Now If I am right you just did 'Requiem for Methuselah'. Yet another Trek plot that was ripped off for another hit movie. Ever here of a little flick called 'Highlander'? And I'm right, Gene could have made a mint suing the movie studios for all the shit he and his writers came up with first. And you think at the end when Spock melds with Kirk to let him forget his love for Rayna he could have done that for all the other times he "loved" and lost, well as close as love can be for Kirk. Just to many women to list. Next week, again I think, is 'The Savage Curtain'. Did you ever think you'd see Abraham Lincoln and a shitty looking lava monster in the same show? Just wait and you will. Guess that's all for now. Tammy sends Her Love Brycecakes
