Greetings Tron, Well old man river, with a bushy forehead do you think he gets satellite tv with them things. I have to say that the fight scene in this episode was ridiculous. What where they doing? trying to fill the time up!. Kirk and Spocks fight scene was long.But when Kirk fights spock in amok time with an awesome sound track, the pace is well done, but here Kirk fights Fred flinstone for half the episode!, besides I thought Spock would have been a tougher fight. But then in this episode we get horn Spock, seducing the nipple geometry princess.Spock then proceeds to tell her about the highly secret and private Pon Farr. A secret held so highly in Vulcan society he risked his career for it. Also he hears the femme fatale with his impressive Vulcan ears, which do seem rather selective in there use. I mean how many times would they have been useful in other episodes. Plus why did they not hear the troglodyte woman entering to kill Kirk!. Which incidentally I am sure Kirk enjoyed getting to pin a woman down and all that," oh tonight they are coming to me goodie". There are a few eye brow raising points, get it...sorry. Anyway aside from Kirk not batting an eyebrow( ok I'll stop) at a man getting killed, this is a federation planet that has torture, don't they rail against abuse of people rights in other worlds. Why does the federation allow a planet that practises torture to join. Also if they are so dumb, then why do they clearly display intelligence in certain points. The female leader is also clearly not dumb. Then you have Kirk who will not cross old man eye brow in one minute. But then beams him to the mine to force him to dig and inhale the fumes, the next minute. And what would you cool that face mask design, well in honour of the next episode how about groovy :-). Still it's always a successful episode when Kirk manages to not genocide a race, in fact this time Spock got the chick so that's two unusual outcomes.
