for the world is hollow

Hi TrekTV-land!
George was wondering if Jared's latin joke was intentional last week. If so: that was awesome! When trying to remember the name of McCoy's disease, Jared suggested "xenophilophagia" which translates into "love-of-strange-things virus".
I also wanted to mention that I read a star trek book that attempts to explain every problem that you had with the episode. I thought it did a pretty good job! I can't remember the book title, so you'll have to take my word for it. But it said the reason the Yonadans had no idea they were on a ship and had a thought-control device was because centuries earlier, people started fighting and this was their solution. The book also showed the aftermath of Kirk's presence. It turns out most of the Yonadans hate Kirk, and blame him for ruining their culture. Who would have thought?
On a similar note, you guys discussed how Kirk's plan to immediately show these people the truth was a plot hole. You figured they had a year, and they should have taken their time. I felt this wasn't a plot hole, but proof that Kirk is a genocide-loving dick. He just couldn't help himself.
George and I are looking forward to the next show!
