Collin: Guest-host Superstar
From: Marc Thomas
Hi Trek TV Friends
I just heard Collin on the Lou Trek show. He was great. Engaging
and interesting. Nice getting to know just a little bit about him
too. An exponent of TOS, he can discuss comparative civics with some
intelligence and he's old enough not to be my child.
Collin's hushed voice sounded good, irregardless of any dissimilarity
to his day to day speech, it worked well for radio. This, all aside
from our North American penchant for the sound of the various UK
accents.
Yeah, Americans love English accents, nice to know Canadians do too.
Since you can't actually hear me, lets assume that my California
accent renders my voice indistinguishable from the husky baritone of
George Takai.
Assume and it will come true…or not. Okay that didn't work, Oh Well.
'The Lou Trek Show' was quite a find, I liked it. When Trek TV came
along, I stopped looking for other Star Trek podcasts. Still, I am
familiar with all the others discussed by Lou and Collin, so I was
surprised that I'd missed this one.
I'll be listening to 'Lou Trek' now too and I imagine some of Lou's
listeners will add Trek TV to their subscription queue. There aren't
as many Trek-only podcast's as people may think.
And even fewer which are covering TOS in it's entirety with ambitions
for the rest. That's still just you. Thanks for doing the right
thing and giving the Holey Trinity of Kirk Spock and McCoy it's due.
My eyes glistening with star-like sparkles of sentiment,
Marc Thomas
